She has been active in financial inclusion for over 30 years across three continents. Anne Marie founded L-IFT because she believed that diaries was the answer to most of the shortcomings of microfinance and would in many ways bring financial inclusion. She is passionate about data empowerment of disadvantaged people and both L-IFT and FINBIT are designed to serve them to take more control of their (financial) lives. Before founding L-IFT she worked for 25 years in microfinance, savings groups, digital finance, and SME finance. She lived long-term in Asia, Africa, and Latin America and worked in many other countries. Her motto is ‘no problem is too small or too big for us’.
